Main Standards and Certifications: The "passport" for ensuring compliance. As a professional protective equipment, PAPR must meet specific standards. When choosing, the primary task is to confirm that the product has one or more of the following authoritative certifications.

1. Chinese National Standard (GB)

For use in China, products that comply with the mandatory national standards of China should be given priority: it stipulates the classification, marking, technical requirements, testing methods and identification of the products, and is applicable to PAPR for protecting against particulate matter, toxic and harmful gases or vapors.

Important reminder: This standard is not applicable to respirators for combustion, explosion, oxygen-deficient environments and escape purposes. If used in high dust environments such as mines, attention should be paid to the testing standards specifically for dust load, such as NIOSH.

Filter efficiency and type: Select the appropriate filter based on the harmful substances (particles, toxic gases, vapors, etc.) present in the working environment. The filter must match the main unit and comply with relevant standards.

Battery and battery life: The battery should be able to meet the requirements for a complete shift of work and pay attention to functions such as low battery alarm.

Noise level: The noise generated by the equipment during operation should not affect the user's hearing or communication. Common standards require the noise to be no more than 80 decibels (A) or lower.

Weight and wearing comfort: The standard usually stipulates that the total weight of the entire device should not exceed 5 kilograms, and the head support part should not exceed 1.5 kilograms.

Mask type: Choose based on the nature of the work. Sealed masks (half masks / full masks) offer high protection but require a seal test; loose-type hoods / helmets do not require a seal test and are suitable for those with beards.
